who we are
Since our founding in 1983, Jubilee Women's Center has been improving the lives of women by providing safe, affordable and supportive community housing and educational resources to help women build stable and fulfilling futures.
Jubilee operates two housing facilities; Jubilee House and 612. Jubilee House is a renovated former convent on Capitol Hill, providing community housing for 27 women. Immediately following the capital renovation, Jubilee purchased the home directly next door to the main facility. This second home, called “612”, serves an additional seven women, expanding Jubilee’s capacity to 34 women.
Over the course of the year, Jubilee serves over 1,200 with our one-on-one technology coaching, computer lab, referral services, on-site clothing boutique and classes to improve job readiness, technology and life skills. All are offered free to low-income women in the community. In addition to these services, approximately 50 of the women are provided with safe and dignified housing, one-on-one care management, community meals and a fitness center.
