learning & technology center

It is difficult to avoid technology these days; technology is infiltrating all aspects of life, and homeless women need to learn the basics. Overcoming those hurdles requires support. Jubilee’s state-of-the-art Learning and Technology Center (LTC) can help a woman bridge the “digital divide” that separates her from certain employment advantages.
Originally funded by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the LTC is a free resource open to residents and other homeless or low-income women in the community. Women from other housing programs can access free on-site technology classes and one-on-one coaching. With a curriculum taught by expert volunteers, residents can earn a Microsoft Office Specialist certification - a credential that will boost their career development and help them become economically self-sufficient.
The LTC also includes the Washington Occupational Information System. This powerful online tool allows our residents to explore various career options.
