Do I get my own room? Yes! Each resident has a private bedroom, with a single bed, closet and desk. Most bedrooms include a sink as well. Bathroom, kitchen, and living spaces are shared.
Will I need my own furniture or bedding? No. Furniture and bedding are supplied.
Will I have a fridge in my room? No. Each resident will have a shelf in the community refrigerator as well as a cupboard for their personal food.
Is there storage? Yes. Each resident will have a small storage space for personal items.
Is there a curfew? No. Residents are able to come and go as they need to. However, a limited number of nights out are allowed each month and coming in to the house after midnight constitutes one night out.
Will I have chores? Yes. Each resident is assigned chores in the house and is responsible for doing that chore consistently.
Can I bring my pet dog or cat? No. Due to the community living situation, pets such as dogs, cats and other animals can have potentially significant or deadly health concerns for other residents. Arrangements must be made for pets to live elsewhere during your residency at Jubilee.
Will I need to buy my own food? Yes. Residents are responsible for purchasing and storing their own food. Jubilee does provide some basic food staples and also hosts community meals frequently to help offset limited food budgets.
Will I have my own phone? No. Two community phones are provided for residents though.
Do I have to pay for utilities? No. All utilities are included in the rent.
Am I allowed to have company? Yes. Visitors are allowed in staff meeting rooms during staff hours - Monday through Friday 9am - 5pm. Visitors are not allowed in bedrooms. No overnight visitors.
Are children allowed to visit? Yes. Children are welcome during normal visiting times.
Are men allowed to visit? Yes. Men also are welcome during normal visiting hours.
