Volunteers are an integral part of Jubilee’s success. Last year, Jubilee’s volunteers provided over $200,000 worth of their precious time! Jubilee has different types of volunteer opportunities for individuals, students, service learners, interns, groups, families and other teams!

FEATURED VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES!

• Shopping assistants in our free clothing boutique re needed to help low-income women find in-season, consignment-quality clothing and accessories. Friendly volunteers are needed on Thursdays, 9:30am to noon.

• Lawn mowing volunteers are needed to care for Jubilee's front and back lawn throughout the summer. This is the perfect opportunity for people needing service hours or who love to volunteer outdoors.

• Cook a Community Meal for our residents. Stay and enjoy the meal with the women who call Jubilee home, or drop the meal off for residents to heat-and-eat on their own.

• Fundraising event volunteers are needed to help plan, implement, procure auction items, set-up and clean-up for our fall or spring events.

• Front office volunteers connect women with much needed resources at Jubilee & in the community. Our friendly office volunteers are the first point of contact for people contacting Jubilee about housing assistance, donating and getting involved at Jubilee. Help 2-4 hours on weekdays.

• Start a grocery gift card drive for Jubilee women! Involve your co-workers, friends, family and/or neighbors. Any amount is appreciated. Just start a collection and bring them to Jubilee! We'd be happy to give you a tour when you stop by! Jubilee residents are on extremely limited incomes and have to purchase their own food while at Jubilee. Many, unable to work due to illness or a disability, rely on state-funded Disability Lifeline cash benefits for their sole income, which was cut to $197 per month this year. On November 1, 2011, cash benefits were eliminated completely.

Year-Round

• Boutique volunteers sort and organize donated clothing or help a woman find clothing when we open the boutique to low-income women in Seattle. Last year, volunteers helped make it possible for over 600 women to access free clothing!

• Join a Committee.

• Host a Dinner Party to help raise awareness for Jubilee's mission, while having fun with your friends! Contact us for more information.

One-Time

• Gardening & Yard Work Volunteers to help maintain our vegetable garden and grounds.

• Bulk Mailing Volunteers help keep Jubilee's program running and save the organization money on postage!

• Clean and prepare bedrooms for new residents moving into Jubilee!
